About Me

Hello!

I'm Barry, four years after setting up my couch surfing I felt I needed to actively start using it!
I'm 23, Irish (as is clear with my ghost-like skin and pumpkin-like head) and like everybody on this, I love travelling. Adventures, new people, anything from little changes between cultures to huge ones - that's what I'm after. I also enjoy food.

I moved to the Brittany region in North West France around 9 months ago to help flog some Irish Whiskey, just to cement the stereotype.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To see what living in a different country/area is really like.

Don't get me wrong, I'm at my happiest in hostels but why not see first hand what the people of Iceland or England or France etc. are really like!

Plus, if you're interested, I can talk a lot of shite about Ireland.

To make friendships that can last and then when i'm back home I can host you in the future!

Interests

Big sports fan ranging from Rugby to Tennis but mainly football, I love football.
Also have a big interest in history and WWII in particular. This then leads to films and TV (If i start talking about Band of Brothers, i'll never stop).

Whether it's walking around and having a coffee, hiking up a mountain, eating chocolate or sleeping I would consider myself pretty easy-going and easy to get along with.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything related to WWII you have me hooked. Band of Brothers. But I promise that's the last time I mention it.

Also on a film note, a sentimental film normally does it for me. I'm looking at About Time, 500 Days of Summer in particular.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm I think what I consider amazing may seem a bit more dull for you guys reading.

I loved Hitch-hiking up through Albania and then finishing it up with a hike in the Albanian Alps - felt like a different planet. Plus, the pizza in Albania and all food come to think of it is extremely cheap. Now that's amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

if you want to learn more about Band of Brothers...?

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully i'll have some Irish Whiskey on me but if not, stories, laughs and good memories.
