ABOUT ME

I'm a graduate student in Medical Anthropology at McGill University. I still have one more year left (hopefully not more!) of my Master's degree. When I'm honest with myself, I realize that I spend most of my time in grad school nurturing a taste for beer, going to potlucks, trying to figure out ways to beat the clock, trying to figure out ways to speed up the clock, then wonder where time goes. I'm moving in with a new roommate this year, which I'm very excited about and hope that we will be able to host guests in our new apartment!

I've just gotten started in CS, so I haven't really had the chance to participate in any of the activities so far.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't couch surfed on my travels, yet, but I'm looking forward to it! When I finally move into a bigger apartment, hopefully I'll be able to offer a couch for visitors to sleep on.

Reading, writing, hiking, films. But when I'm honest with myself, I realize that I spend very little time of my waking life actually doing these things. Instead, I have many ordinary, everyday sorts of enjoyments: Going on meandering walks through the city. Conversation, usually over something delicious. Chinese cooking. Golf. Being in transit from one place to another.

Right now, "Game of Thrones" has made me a most willing captive. I feel sorry for all the books I've forsaken in my quest to conquer all five books of "Game of Thrones." The books that I still have not yet finished: "Jitterbug Perfume," "The Log from the Sea of Cortez," "The Time Machine," "Hungry City," and "Insectopedia."
