About Me

Hello I am Tamás, and usually we travel together with Eszter, my girlfriend. She is a photographer and I work with wood sculptures for playgrounds. We live in small town next to Budapest, and we really enjoy that. We like when things go out of control, but we like it even more, when we can chill and enjoy nature, arts, people, and the results of the work we do. We love travelling, although we are not 'travellers' we like being on the move all the time. Eszter takes many pictures all around (you can find her @aylaanmoodysson) and I like listening to local music everywhere. I tend to live offline, no social media, and that is good for me, I like manual, oldschool stuff (like guitar, sculpting, people, sports etc.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A very human idea. Sharing something as simple as your shelter brings you closer to your own human nature. I really enjoyed meeting all sorts of people via CS so far (lazy ones who didn't leave reviews, too :) ) . I dont get though why pay 70 EUR to get verified, when I could provide all sorts of data neccessary to do so, I am really sorry for that, but I didnt see the very point of it yet.

Interests

People, music, instruments, arts, social science, bicycle, nature, red wine, IPA... I play guitar and the double bass, and I really enjoy singing when I am in the mood for that.

Music, Movies, and Books

Recent favorites are an anthology on Arab poetry and a book on Kodály Zoltán's music. I recommend everyone to watch 'Életek Éneke' a documentary on Hungarian, Romanian and Gypsy musicians. Gnawa music!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I realised how little I know about the world, the people and myself, and how much more fun is to pursue this way of learning things more than anything else.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love listening to music and also playing, so we can show good stuff to each other. Anyone can participate in making music in one way or another, and that is an amazing way to form relations. So I share the message: if you can only play two chords, and sing a song, that is still better than nothing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

The bottom line is a nice Hungarian dish, but we can play music, go out together, see places, go outdoors especially and so.

Countries I’ve Visited

Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Italy, Morocco, Poland, Qatar, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Ukraine, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
