About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find a couch in Geneva!

ABOUT ME

I think I am open-minded, cheerful, respectful and always up for new experiences. I'm also very spontaneous and honest - I can't help but speak my mind!

On the other hand, I am stubborn and impatient... but not to the point that you shouldn't consider meeting me or having me as a host/guest ;)

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in the wisdom and power of Nature, and strive to live my life as respectfully as I can towards myself, others and our planet. I believe in the will to improve, and that time goes by very fast! I believe in questioning what we take for granted and I am not so fond of mainstream people/tendencies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies I've loved: Most Luc Besson's movies, Children of Heaven, La habitación de Elías, movies by Alfred Hitchcock, Charlie Chaplin, Lars Von Trier, the Cohen Brothers, and many independent low-budget movies.

Some books/writers: The God of small things, L'étranger, Daniel Pennac

Albums/artists/genres I enjoy listening to: Bob Marley, Deee Lite, Ella Fitzgerald, Air, Louis Armstrong, Miles Davies, Soap kills, Café del Mar, Lenny Kravitz, U2, Fairuz, Bran Van 3000, classical music, Carte Blanche, drum and bass, r&b, hip hop, Tom Jobim... basically everything except for heavy metal.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my best memories is of when I went on a horseback riding stroll on a beach in Cuba. At one point I was galloping on a white sandy beach with clear blue water next to me, it was awesome!

Other great experiences I've had have been parasailing, water skiing and backpacking on my own.

And last but not least: the first scuba dive I did in my life, with dolfins as dive buddies. I was amazed by the feeling of not having to go up to the surface for air. And the dolfins... what can I say? Amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

Languages (French, Spanish, English and Arabic), the flute, belly dancing, sewing.

Knowledge I could share: I've read A LOT about pregnancy, birth giving, child rearing.

Things I'd like to learn: the Alexander technique, I'd like to practice the languages I know (especially Italian, English and Arabic), and anything new!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belize, Brazil, Cuba, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Malta, Morocco, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Thailand, United States
