About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Continue to explore the World and everything that it has to offer.

ABOUT ME

Since a young age I have always considered myself to be an explorer. I grew up on a farm in the country side of southern Ireland. This was great for me and my siblings because it gave us a the space to play and enjoy the surrounding landscape.

As I grew a little older I soon became interested in exploring outside the confines of our property. I began to venture further and further in order to fulfill my desire for new and interesting experience.

Little did I know that this would transpire into my passion and love for travel. Since then this way of thinking has only grown and become stronger.

I find most happiness and enjoyment while on the road. The feeling of the unknown provides an interest and excitement which I cannot find anywhere else.

Each time I travel to a new destination I learn so much about each place, the people and culture surrounding it.

I find myself constantly being tested. Each new experience provides an opportunity to learn and adapt to new situations.

This process provides me with the knowledge to grow into a person which I am happy to become.

“The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.”
― Christopher McCandless

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short, spend it doing what you love and enjoy and live each day like its your last. Don't let anything hold you back. Be sure of yourself. Dream big. Never give up. Positive energy attracts positive experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

I would be forever listing the music that I enjoy so if you are interested check out my Soundcloud profile- https://soundcloud.com/rhysdavies-3/following -

I don't read books, I prefer to read from the Internet, if I am interested in learning about a specific subject a simple Google search usually provides more than adequate information.

Movies, well I believe I have exhausted most sources of films. I have watched the entire IMDB 250, and Empire 500. I was once a movie fanatic and nowadays I struggle to find a film that I haven't seen that interests me which is unfortunate.

I don't have much interest in many modern films, I find they have lost a certain quality over time.

This may be because I am growing older or maybe because my interests have changed.

Either way, I migrated to documentaries about two years ago. I must have watched 1000 documentaries.

Unlike movies I find there are good current documentaries being released all of the time. For example I adore a good Vice documentary.

Recently I have become interested in discussions and interviews. I watch clips on TED now and again, and if I am interested in a certain subject or character then again i would just preform a simple Google search and go from there.

All in all I prefer audio and video as a sensory learning tool. I believe they are much more suitable to my personality type than reading a book.
