ABOUT ME

I'm a Russian expatriate currently living and working in Paris. Cannot imagine my life without traveling, trying to visit at least one new country per year :)) although now I'm a little bit stuck in Paris because of work.. I really enjoy meeting new people, learn something new, share experience.

Treat others as you would want them to treat you and never do to others what you would not like them to do to you.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Registered over a year ago, never used it actually before now.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never hosted anyone nor stayed at a couchsurfer's place. For now I'm just discovering some CS events in Paris and other towns where I happen to travel. Always glad to meet people from different countries, make new friends, discover new cultures, practice as many languages as possible.

Interests

All aspects of culture, world history, arts, design, computer games, music, foreign languages and linguistics, politics, philosophy, religions, spirituality, mythology and folklore, social movements, automotive industry, space discovery, sports, cooking, traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - any good ones, especially science fiction and historical drama. I enjoy popular tv series, too.

Music - I'v been for years a huge heavy metal and Russian rock fan, but basically I like any kind of music, from classics to folk. I also use foreign music lyrics as a tool for learning new languages.

Books - Russian classics (Gogol, Dostoevski, Bulgakov), science fiction, particularly dystopias (Orwell, Huxley)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always glad to teach anyone my language which is Russian. I can also share a lot about the history and culture of my country. I could also give some travel tips about Russia, France or any other country I visited. And I love to exchange opinions about politics and current events.
