About Me

CURRENT MISSION

explore my city as if I was just visiting

ABOUT ME

They would say that I usually can think of fun things to do. I'm pretty good at taking advantage of where I live. I would say that I enjoy riding my road bike. I also cook a lot. I like photography too. And I listen to public radio, and sometimes go to shows. I like wandering or biking around places I don't know.

PHILOSOPHY

I keep trying to get better at things generally, though I don't necessarily believe in progress, only change. I like to find problems, and then solve them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I recently joined, so this is a work in progress. My basic plan, since I'm going on a trip shortly is to try it out. And then when my schedule is respectable, flip my couch button to 'yes' and see what happens. Maybe go to a CS meeting sometime.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, hopefully this changes soon. I have some friends who have done it. One time I met someone in a bar, and she couchsurfed often. Seemed to work out for her.

Interests

bikes, cooking, photos, food. I enjoy movies and have a projector. I read books. I explore my city.

Music, Movies, and Books

most recent movie I liked a whole lot was drive... prior to that inception. Netf;ix says I like gritty korean crime movies, but seriously, who doesn't right? Right?

I always listen to the strokes, and lately lykke li, some other stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nothing ever really feels that impressive when you write it down, but one time I slept overnight in my car, and then rode my bike 115 miles, on a self supported mini tour many miles from home, carrying my days supply of food and water and doing over 2 miles of elevation gain over the course of four very large hills. It seemed epic at the time, and I was very tired afterwards. I got over 45mph going downhill on touring road bike.

Teach, Learn, Share

Medical related thigns, as well as cooking, photography. I really do a lot of cooking. If/When I host I will teach some sweet cooking tricks I have learned.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Cambodia, Cuba, Denmark, Mexico, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Panama, Portugal, Russian Federation, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
