ABOUT ME

I'm a foolishly optimistic 27 year old amateur world-traveler and utterly juvenile free spirit. Right now I'm really into martial arts and yoga, as well as general fitness and stuff. I grew up on Como Lake in Saint Paul, raised by some pretty chilled out, pretty open minded parents. Had some wild times growing up, really pushed my limits. Bought a duplex when I was just 22 and settled in for a couple years before getting a job at the airport on a whim and just taking off all over the world. I've just been throwing myself at different places, mostly just going alone completely on a whim with no plans and often no prior knowledge of the area or even the language. I love it! It can be an awesome test of yourself to land alone in a strange country at night with no reservations and just completely wing it :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Still getting started, I've been getting in on the local scene in the twin cities here and really digging the crew. I'm always down for meeting up with locals/international cats for fun stuff.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Still getting my feet wet, I've traveled a LOT but have yet to surf much... I recently surfed Manhattan with an awesome local CS girl and had an absolute blast! I'm still workin on building up my street cred!

I like a whole bunch of different stuff, I love meeting new people and finding out about and going to new places. I'm particularly into philosophy, culture, psychology, language, anthropology, biology, martial arts, yoga, fitness and nutrition

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've had the amazing privilege of working for an international airport for the past year or so, and have already seen a lifetime of amazing stuff. Actually, I'd say some of my most mind-blowing experiences have been glimpses from the train or bus window of the "spaces in between" cities in Thailand or Nicaragua, just kids riding horses or playing baseball in tropical farmland, or seeing farmers knee-deep in wet-rice patties in Asia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach driving and martial arts, I'm learning Spanish and yoga, and some bits and pieces of some other pretty wacky random stuff like Latin dancing, capoera, and Chinese, Hmong, and Thai. I'd like to play at some French, German, and Korean too when I get the chance...
