ABOUT ME

Hi there! My name is Katharine Harley and right now I am a student at UC Berkeley. I am a very easy going, amiable person. I get a long with everyone I meet and really enjoy the company of new people. I am a little shy at first, but am an honest, fun and silly person. I absolutely love to explore and adventure in new places which is the main reason I have signed up with Couch Surfing.

A few things to add about myself is I absolutely love food and music. I will literally always eat everything and anything on my plate and I have grown up singing so I love dancing and listening to live music.

I really am looking forward to meeting amazing people and sharing incredible experiences with all of you!

I try to base my life off of 4 main principles. Gaining perspective, keeping an open mind, staying positive and experiencing everything that I possibly can.

In my free time I love being with good friends, eating food, drinking wine, and just enjoying my surroundings. I absolutely love to eat, listen to music, go out dancing, and just have a great time. I do also enjoy relaxing by going to the beach, reading or hiking. I live a pretty balanced life of going out and partying but also taking it easy and just relaxing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Even though I have lived in the San Francisco bay area for almost my entire life, seeing the Golden Gate bridge at sunset is absolutely stunning. I still get chills whenever I see it. It truly is remarkable and beautiful and really symbolizes home for me.

When I climbed the Great Wall of China and made it to the top of the leg we were climbing and just stopped to look around was absolutely incredible. I had such a hard time comprehending what I was witnessing, it was mind blowing. The fact that something was so old, yet so sturdy, immense and beautiful was just incredible.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really want to learn to simplify my life and especially my lifestyle. I think it is very easy to get caught up in the all the consumerist hype of the world that we live in. I want to expand my knowledge of myself and others from around the world.
