About Me

So, I used to live on the incredible and big Mexico City, but work brought me to Veracruz, a great beach city on the Gulf of Mexico.
Economist.
I love food. I love trying new food.
Currently learning Violin. I loooove classic music.
Yoga. Cheese. Vanilla. Mangos and Avocados. Mezcal and Wine, Gin of course.
I love road cycling. It saved my life.
I've found in writing a moment of peace for my mind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first CS experience was as a Surfer (2012!) , and I realised how different is to travel this way; somehow you get to learn more about the way of life you don't get to see on the books.
It was such a great experience, I'm ready and glad to give back (now that it's on my possibilities) and be on this experience again, but now as a Host.
Update: Hosting is as fun as surfing. You will always get a different point of view of the city with a guest, it opens your eyes to new perspectives. A piece of the world visiting your place.

Interests

I like pretty much everything.

Music, Movies, and Books

If I had to choose only one from each:
Movie: Koyaanisqatsi (Madonna's Ray of Light video sounds familiar?)

Music: Muse (It scares me how accurate some lyrics are to my life) oh and Shostakovich of course.

Book: Anything written by Etgar Keret, his stories are amazing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably one of the most memorables for me has to be cycling from Mexico City to Oaxaca, 500km in five days. The views and the food and the people on the road was incredible.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love my country, I'll be glad to show you this place (and make sure you don't keep the 'Nachos & Chilli' country idea it is said to be) The city I live in is the oldest municipality in America, the whole continent. So we have plenty of stuff to show you around, Veracruz cuisine is also famous for its famous dishes, yum!

It's all about sharing: It's not about an specific topic or knowledge, it's the daily conversation (or the silence); the being, that gives you a lesson every moment.
