ABOUT ME

Hi there, fellow adventurers! I'm a lover of all things travel and culture, with a passion for beaches, skyscrapers, and everything in between. I'm an open-minded, polite, and laid-back person who enjoys meeting new people from all walks of life. I may not be the best at small talk, but once we get started, I won't stop talking! I'm a bit of a know-it-all and love soaking up information, but I promise not to bore you with it.

When I'm not exploring new destinations, you can find me reading books, running, swimming, or trying my hand at new hobbies like snowboarding and surfing. I enjoy a good party every now and then, especially when it involves dancing, but I also appreciate a quiet night in.

I'm always up for an adventure, whether bungee jumping or skydiving. I believe in kindness, generosity, and in nurturing relationships. I'm excited to connect with fellow travelers and learn from your experiences. Let's explore the world together!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've done meet-ups, surfing, hosting, traveling, and everything else under the sun. I have met a lot of my closest friends through the community. Couchsurfing was a game changer to how I travel and explore the world! It was humbling to realize how many awesome people are still out there we have yet to meet and become friends with!

HOSTING

Working and raising a kid is a tough job! I don't host anymore, but I'd be down to meet for coffee!

Muzyka, filmy i książki

I'm a sucker for Rom Coms. The guilty pleasure I frequently indulge in is Reality Dating Shows. I love sitcoms like Modern Family, Broad City, Brooklyn 99, and The Big Bang Theory.

I love to read almost anything except thrillers and suspense. My favorite books are the Harry Potter series, and I'm a fan of poetry (especially Pablo Neruda!).

When it comes to music, I'm a big fan of 90s/early 00's pop (think boy bands, girl bands, and belly-baring singers lol) as well as indie pop/rock and EDM. So any genre, really!

Defied the advice of well-meaning friends who were afraid I was going to get raped and killed by strangers I met online, and went to a wild local rock concert not knowing a single soul (and not being a fan of rock) to go to my first ever Couchsurfing event alone! One of the all time best decisions I've made in my life! I've met a few great (and drunk) people that night who've inspired me to discover the amazing CS community and I have never looked back since! ☺️ Also, I birthed a human being!!!

I believe that keeping an open mind and lowering expectations is the key to happiness and contentment. I want to be able to go and see the world, learn and appreciate cultural differences, and hopefully to contribute positive feels to the rest of humanity.

Aside from the cultural aspect, I also want to learn more about languages - particularly Chinese, Korean and Spanish. I speak English fluently, and I am very interested having a travel or language exchange buddy I can practice speaking with!

Well, since I can't do fire dancing, balance a sharp sword on my face, or any particularly special skill or talent to show off to my potential host, I can share stories and adventures and laughters and travel tips to the Philippines instead! 🇵🇭
