I'm a new resident of Boulder, having lived in my beloved Pittsburgh, PA for the past two years. I'm having quite a bit of culture shock here, but I'm throwing myself into learning local history (I am super history nerd) and looking to get involved and explore to make this place feel more like home!

Because arriving in a new place and being welcomed into a stranger's house as their/your newest friend is the most enriching aspect of travel. I love sharing stories and being able to experience a bit of how other people around the world live.

(Not to mention, it's invaluable to have someone full of knowledge and advice about the city itself!)

Though I don’t approve of volunteerism type things anymore, As a teenager I volunteered at Pine Ridge Reservation painting houses and playing with kids on summer vacation within sight of the Wounded Knee massacre site and graveyard, and got to visit a Native-run boarding school and a buffalo farm that had (one of?) the last sacred white buffalo-- where the owner taught all the white kids to feed the buffalo with their mouths (lolol).

In Camden Town I struck up a conversation with a canal boat owner as he was going through the lock. He invited me and my friend to ride with him through London. It was amazing.

Staying right next to the ocean at the Intercontinental Mumbai and getting to stroll along Marine Drive at night under The Queen's Necklace.

Spending a slow-travel day just walking up and down the Thames.
