ABOUT ME

I am a friendly person with a sarcastic sense of humor. I love having fun and am always up for anything, but I am also very responsible and respectful in everything that I do. I am the kind of person that always puts my friends first because they mean more to me than anything.

PHILOSOPHY

We need to travel. If we don't offer ourselves to the unknown our senses dull, our world becomes small, and we lose our sense of wonder. Our eyes don't lift to the horizon, our ears don't hear the sounds around us. Our experience is restricted, and we pass our days in a way that is both comfortable and limiting. Then we wake up one day and find that we have lost our dreams in order to protect our days. Don't let yourself become one of these people. The fear of the unknown and the lure of the comfortable will conspire to keep you from taking chances a traveler has to take. But if you take them you will never regret your choice. Sure, there are moments of doubt when you stand alone, on an empty road, in icy rain, or when you are ill with fever in a rented bed. But, as the pains will come, so to will they fall away. In the end, you will be so much stronger, so much clearer, and so much happier, that all the risk and hardship you have endured will seem like nothing compared to the knowledge you have gained and the life you have lived.

I had an amazing experience couchsurfing across Europe in the summer of 2012 and now can act as a host to anyone in the DC Metro area!

I couchsurfed around Europe for a summer and it was a great experience. It really renewed my faith in the kindness of others.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I hiked six hours up to a glacier that will probably have disappeared within the next ten years. The trail was very narrow and at one point I had to walk under a waterfall! It was an amazing experience.
