About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find something "creative", " imaginative" or "wacky" to put in fields such as this!

ABOUT ME

I am a pretty normal member of the species whose interests are multiple and various. From surfing to horse racing to great works of literature I am open to the world in all it's shades. I appreciate life and at the end of the day what more can one ask for.

At present I am studying veterinary medicine here in Valencia and am loving getting to know this fresh and interesting culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted two people thus far, have to say my experience has been somewhat mixed. They were fine and all in that they didn't rob the place but I wouldn't say that enriched my life! Well you never know, the next time might be great!

Interests

There is a great moment in the documentary made by RTE (the irish national broadcaster) about Seamus Heaney when they asked famous Seamus what he would like to be his epitaph. A little taken aback by this Seamus gave it a little thought and said "he went where he went and was grateful for it". While not seeking to elevate myself to such a degree of illustrious renown I would like to think of myself as being someone who is fascinated by the world and all it's hypocrisies, idiosyncrasies and realities. The breath of human response and interaction with the world around them fascinates me and I find this to be infinitely compelling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sitting on a fence with a great friend of mine on the ridge of the valley in which I live watching a harvest moon rising as dusk descends.

Walking into Chartes Cathedral for the first time and being overwhelmed by its airy gravitas.

Going racing in Gowran park on a clear and crisp winters day. The smell of iodine and the fresh breath of thoroughbreds filling the air with plumes of majestic intensity.
