About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Mission: To meet EVERYONE

ABOUT ME

I'm a quiet guy who loves traveling (I like to pretend I'm a hippie) and making new friends. I get along with all kinds of people and have so many 'circles of friends'.

I have recently traveled around Canada for 6 months and now it's time to explore the States. So if you would like someone to join you for a road trip or a spontaneous adventure, please feel free to get in touch.

There's so much more to say but let's save that for when we meet in person.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a pretty simple kind of person, I don't understand why people can 'Be Nice'. Surely, it's not that hard?

“To know the way,
we go the way,
we do the way.
The way we do,
the things we do,
it's all there in front of you.
But if you try too hard to see it,
you'll only become confused.
I am me and you are you.
As you can see;
but when you do
the things that you can do,
you will find the way.
The way will follow you.”
― Benjamin Hoff, The Tao of Pooh

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only just been introduced to CS, but once I'm back in the UK I plan to open my house up to help other travelers as well as attend meetups. Maybe in future I might try my hand at organising events.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only surfed so far and attended a couple of events, but the experiences I've had, I couldn't even put into words.

Interests

I love finding things out about people and the amazing things they have done. I believe everyone has a story to tell.
I enjoy helping and lending a hand where I can in return for a smile.

Other than that, I personally like to juggle fire, hike, rock climb, camp.. okay, I'll keep it short, anything outdoorsy, circus stuff and board games. Oh and I love water, any chance I get to swim, I'm in there like a shot.

Oh, I do like live music, gigs and festivals, oh and movies, video games.. this is crazy.. I can't just list everything I'm interested in, okay, I like everything that doesn't hurt other living things, done.

Oh and I like nighttime.

Music, Movies, and Books

Okay, movies, mainly scifi, adventure, really like dark versions of fairy tails. Seen some really good foreign indie movies recently. Documentaries about pretty much anything interests me, expand the mind. Oh and I love cartoons and anime, Naruto, Bleach, Full Metal, Fairytail to name a few.

I'm open minded when it comes to music, I can listen to pretty much anything (unless it's really bad like Justin Bieber)!

But my playlist consists of a lot of UK dubstep, electro, old school garage - Really want to watch Daft Punk live in Tokyo!
Some others that I like; Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers, Basement Jaxx, Chase & Status, Foreign Beggars, Flux Pavilion, Modestep, The Weeknd, Sublime, Rahzel, Methodman, Plan B, Rizzle Kicks.
Oh, and since being in Canada, I've really been getting into country (well, country rock).

Books on the other hand are a little too complicated for me.. I'm a slow reader so loose interest very quickly. If I finish a book it must be REALLY good. Of Mice and Men, Twelfth Night, McBeth (and a whole bunch of other Shakespeare) and a few autobiographies. Currently reading Bear Grylls, Mud, Sweat & Tears.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't like this part. I feel I'm still only getting started with my life and have so much more to see and do.
I guess some amazing things I've have done would include; 100 mile march in Nijmegen, skiing in the French Alps, climbing Mt Snowdon, and various other mountains, I feel they have a power that forms strong bonds between people. And now I can say, I have hitchhiked across Canada and back.

Amazing things I've seen.. wow.. umm.. open your eyes, there's amazing things going on all around all the time.

Teach, Learn, Share

Umm.. I kind of know a little bit about a lot and not much else. My interest (see above) means that I have become a jack of all trades, master or none. Saying that, I am carrying my fire staff and poi balls on my trip so I could teach you to juggle fire? Or if you have some cards, I could share some magic tricks?

Oh and if you want to teach me something, I can guarantee that I would be interested.

(I would like to learn to play an instrument but haven't been able to get my head around it so far).
