CURRENT MISSION
My cancer has returned and my doctor said I could go on one last trip so I’m taking my grandson to see as much of the world as we can.

This is it, my entire bucket list is giving Josh an experience such as he never imagined. He is my heart, a good man. Peaceful and kind.

We will be in Europe from mid-September till ?

We have friends and family to see then we want to explore, we are open to invitations almost anywhere. We are traveling light and on a very tight budget but that’s really the best way, the most rewarding way, to experience different lands and different people.

Josh is 24 and this trip is for and about him. 😀

ABOUT ME

I left Texas in 2000 to find a new life. I traveled to or lived in Belize, Canada, Germany, Poland, Czech, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia and Austria. On my third trip to Canada, I met a guy who had "home" written across his forehead and married him after one date. We started a business together as newlyweds and it's grown and become quite successful. Today, as I write this, is our 5th anniversary. Eighteen months ago, I started having bone pain and I went to several doctors until it was finally diagnosed (just 4 weeks after my health care came through) as bone cancer. I had a bone marrow transplant and am ready to start up my life again. My husband is very conservative, stay at home kinda guy but my inner wanderer is firing back up. Poor him! ;) When I was in Prague, I was housemother to several Muslim students and loved every minute of it. We had a wonderful time and, while I'm not really a religious person, I find Islam is comfortable for my spirituality and I found the answers I was looking for. I have three children and share couch surfing interest with one, Adam.

No experience on couchsurfing officially, but did a lot of hostels during my travels.

Interests

Intimate theatre, cooking, multicultural, love meeting new people from different lands and learning how much we're the same and how much we're different. Driving Ruby, my new car.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy movies of various types. I don't read because I spend too much time in front of a computer working. I'm not much into music on a daily basis but love live performances... intimate with friends or a concert.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was lost and miserable so I put everything in storage, packed a suitcase and wandered North America, Central America and Europe for eight years before I found my home in British Columbia.
