ABOUT ME

I'm a (relaxed) person, easy talking, out going, bla bla bla, you know how it goes...
Im also on the Green side of life! Save the planet!
Eco! Bio! Organic! Veg! GREEN! GREEN!! GREEN!!!
I love DIY (do it youself) things. Recycle, reuse, reduce! Before buying, try DIYing! And from that you can guess I have skilled hands, I do handicraft things, like sewing stuffed animals, jewelry, small things, for gifts and stuff.
I also love Kitchening (made up word: the act of doing several activities in the kitchen, like baking, cooking, preparing, chopping, slicing, eating, laughing, sharing).
I love to travel (obviously) (when I'm able to do so) and go on adventures!
I think the dream of my life is to know the world, and the people on it. Share, share, share!
I like to be occupied! I like to be busy, So I am always doing something, even when I'm siting in the sun doing nothing, sort of speaking.
I like to make new friends, international ones!

Hobbies?
I was a volunteer firefighter.
I was the vice-president of the ecological group of the students association of my Uni on my first year.
I was a volunteer on an Hospital.
Did and internship on a recovery house for addictions.
I was a volunteer teacher of Portuguese and German at SPEAK.
I read, or at least try to read one or two chapters per day. (currently reading A Feast for Crows by George R.R. Martin - Book number 4 of Game Of Thrones) (don't tell anyone, but I have been failing this one a lot, not a lot of free time to read.)
I watch a movie once a week, sometimes documentaries, sometimes series, sometimes anime.
I used to practice a different sport every year while I was in school (Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Golf, Mathematics, Swimming), but now the only exercise I do is study all night and all day long... I also started yoga last year, and I really love it, and miss it when I can't go to the yoga classes.

Curiosity:
I like nails! They are an awesome invention!
I hang things with them. I once kaputed my bike tire with one. I once had one in my feet. I once found a 2000 year old one.

PHILOSOPHY

I think that the thing that gets me to keep on going is that I can always be better, for myself, for other, and for the planet.
Everyday is a new life, a new change to improve, to learn from mistakes, and do something new, something good.
Because, you know, if you make it so, the sun will always shine.
And thank you Love, for being the light in my sometimes dark path.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I try to be the best host and the best surfer, always!
Sadly or not, I'm very independent, so I'm one of those persons that doesn't offers you a cup of tea or tell you where the toilet is, because in my brain that thought doesn't even crosses my mind, because since I ask for what I need without feeling shy about it, I think other people are like me, but I know that I'm wrong, and I'm trying to do my best to correct that and I'm trying to make my hosts feel at home the best I can. And I'm sorry if I'm to at home n your house.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Over three years now... Until now, Couchsurfing introduced me to some of the greatest people I've ever meet, and there are days that I wish they made part of my daily life... I miss my couchsurfing friends...

Interests

I'm fascinated about:
- Redheads (the same way man like girls with big boobs and woman like muscular guys, I like gingers, any gender, any age, any species, any planet, just let it be red and pale, and I'll fall in love with their beauty)
- Albinos (I've seen 7 albinos up until now in my life, and I feel blessed, such beauty);
- Dumb/blind people (their abilities overwhelm me, that's why I want to learn to sign);
- Jellyfish ( favorite animal - 30June2013-Lahinch-Ireland- First time touching one, and Ireland has gifted me with 3 more encounters).
- Octopus/squids;
- Sphynx (hairless cats - trying to collect money to adopt one - life time mission);
- Nerds (smart people turn me on / different from smart asses!);
- Music (go listen to Ocean by John Butler and tell me that music is not alive, created under perfect art, insanely pure);

- Book: The end of Mrs Y by Scarlett Thomas and Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter. And all of Usbourn books, they are so cool!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To be an Au-pair! (two sided coin)
Venus aligned with Jupiter, and 4 moons of Jupiter.
Lumi first steps and words.
Meteorites showers!
Overcame my fear of unknown waters.
Touch a jellyfish (my fav animal).
Stand on a surfing board.
Hitchhiking across a country.
Go on a skygarden adventure and do a 13m freefall (I'm not afraid of hightest, but it sure was emotional).
To see two satilites and the space shuttle in the same night!
To be a firefighter, save forests and people.
Juggle for 16 seconds.
Drive on the left side!
Manage to complete more subjets (18) on my last year of uni than in the full tree years of it.
All my handcrafty things are amazing things i've done :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not very funny, (as you can see) but I try too, so please, if you can teach me some good jokes, it would be great!
And relaxation technics (I have OCD).
I can try to teach you lots of things about languages.
I want to learn (more) sign language and more languages and cultures!
