About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Alles ausser Ruhrpott ist Sachsen!

ABOUT ME

I guess I am a relatively friendly guy with a strange humour and excentric taste in music, but then again that probably is what everybody thinks about him or herself. I like to think of myself as a guy with whom you can have nice conversations. Love parties. A couple of tags to put me in a box: Vegan, Anarchist, Anti-Fascist (Don't worry I am able to shut up about these topics)

PHILOSOPHY

The worst is yet to come, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun in the meantime.
Oh yeah, also I am vegan. I guess that's also philosophy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf and I would like to host, what else is there?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went Couchsurfing in Mumbai and Delhi, it was an amazing experience, seeing the city through the eyes of people who actually live there. So far I only met awesome people through cs. Then again, couchsurfing in Paris as a guy seems quite impossible

Interests

I like to read, watch movies, attend parties, relax in the sun or go hiking. I can spend hours just wandering around cities, watching the street life and architecture as well as the unique feel about it that each city tends to have. I enjoy good music as well as cycling and I would list activism as one of my interests.

Music, Movies, and Books

Everything by Heinrich Böll. Gruppenbild mit Dame, Ende einer Dienstfahrt. The dryness of his humour makes the Sahara desert seem like the Niagara Falls.
All the things George Orwell ever wrote are also awesome. Homage to Catalonia, Down and out in Paris & London, and of course the classics.
The "A Song of Ice and Fire series". Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. Trainspotting. (The Movie and the book)
I listen to Hardcore-Punk, good Rap and Drum'n'Bass.
Movies, movies, movies.
Been in love with 40's Film Noir for a while, but in fact love everything that's good. Star Wars is my bible! Memento has opened my eyes, and The Good The Bad and The Ugly is probably the best movie on the planet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in India for a year to do a volunteer service, and my arrival left me pretty speechless. The first time out of Europe. Another amazing experience involved a deserted sauna in the middle of the finnish forests, next to a crystal-clear lake. Being liked by all the children in my school in India was also extremely amazing. I was actually one of the most popular teachers. Looking down Jog Falls, the highest waterfalls in India was pretty amazing, as well as hiking in the himalayas. The best stories shouldn't be shared in this box though, for obvious reasons.

Teach, Learn, Share

This sounds like pretentious crap, but whatever. I am quite good at cooking I think, so there's that.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, India, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom
