About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel more around the world and Australia. Helping Marly (my globetrotting teddy bear) take over the world.
ABOUT ME
We are easy going and down to earth people. My husband & I love travelling. I am always thinking of where to go next. We like to visit new places and meet new people. One of my websites is www.marlystravels.com. You can see some of the places we have been on Youtube.
www.youtube.com/marlytravel. We enjoy going for short beaks away as well as longer breaks. We love cruising as well as going on road trips. We like to go to the comedy club in Melbourne. We have two daughters, 27and 29, not living at home. Both in Geelong.
PHILOSOPHY
Make the most of each day and participate. You only have one life, you need to live it now not later on when you think the time is right. The right time is now!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We would like to host and go couch surfing in the future to experience couch surfing for ourselves.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We are new to the site but are looking forward to meeting
many new people, both hosting and surfing.
Interests
I love travelling, photography, reading, going to the movies, growing orchids, jigsaw puzzles, going on walks along the rail trail, going on roller coasters, eating out, snorkeling, swimming (pool more than beach)like walking along the beach, playing cards, playing board games, doing search a word and code cracker puzzles, having short beaks away. Building my websites. It is fun so it is not work to me.
My husband likes travelling, going to the movies, eating out, golf (playing and watching), football (Aussie Rules), swimming (beach with waves more than pool), playing cards (for real and on the computer), doing code cracker and Sudoku puzzles, having short breaks away, cricket.
We have a 6ft tropical fish aquarium, fish pond and 3 cats. One is very shy and you would probably never see, one is shy until he gets to know you and the other one just loves everyone to bits. I did have a big bird aviary but it made way for more orchids.

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to mention. Movies, big action blockbusters, drama, thrillers, comedies, some sci fi and yes chic flicks. Books, James Patterson, Jackie Collins, Tara Moss, Black Lace, Ben Elton. Music, most things. Don't like heavy metal, punk or opera. Love the Potbelleez, Don't Hold Back and the other two new ones. My husband likes Pink Floyd and most other music except opera.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Snorkelling with the Giant Manta Rays in Hawaii. That is the most amazing thing I have ever done. They are huge but so gentle. If you get the chance to do it I highly recommend it. Flying through the Grand Canyon at sunset and seeing the amazing colours in the canyon wall as the light changed. Flying into Hong Kong airport at night, coming from behind the hill and having all of the twinkling lights set out below. Breathtaking. Snorkelling off a little island in Fiji. The variety and colour of fish and coral is the best I have seen. Being in a strong earthquake in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Something I don't want to experience again but certainly amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to build websites. We can teach you about aquarium fish, growing orchids. My husband can give you pointers on how to play golf. We can share our travel experiences and learn about yours.
