About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying the summer

ABOUT ME

Well, I like to travel, as well as I like showing people around in my city. For the last few years, I've been living, studying and working in 4 countries on 3 continents, and now I feel like "settling down" a bit and stay at one place for a few years. Berlin seems to be perfect for that, and as I still love to meet new people - well, I'm here. I am doing my graduate studies right now and working half-time to finance it, so this takes much of my time. Oh - and I am queer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Showing people around ? Maybe having a couch, depends on the timespan and how comfortable you want to have it ;) My flat is quite small, unfortunately.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some of my friends use couchsurfing, and as they are really nice and I have met a few great couchsurfers, I thought it would be a nice idea to join, too. I surfed once and it was awesome, so I decided to share my couch, as well, which was a great idea, as I have met more nice and interersting people.

Interests

Loads. So: life as a whole, maybe. And music (mostly electronic), friends, cooking, sports (I love my bicycle and floorball, and started with Taekwondo last winter), languages...

Music, Movies, and Books

Uff... loads of books. Just to name a few: 1984, Anna Karenina, Lenin kam nur bis Lüdenscheid, Un brillant avenir. I read less in summer though, as I go everywhere by bike and thus don't read in the U-Bahn, as I do in winter.
Music: electronic (Kombinat 100, ...), some classical (Tchaikovsky, ...), and such.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Uhm... I found it amazing to go to a country with only a slight idea of the language (russian), and still be able to learn to communicate within a few weeks, because almost everyone seemed to be eager to help me to improve my language and taught me a few words. Maybe it's not amazing, but I like it.
