About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make my way back to Paris and make it my home where from I can travel all around Europe!

ABOUT ME

I am a respectful, open and enthusiastic guy. I can't stand racism, homophobia or any other bigotry. Love for all I say... including animals, I'm a vegan and not looking back :)
I love cosy nights with a DVD and a pizza, particularly a good horror, love getting scared from the safety of my couch lol

I love meeting new people and getting to learn of other's journeys.

PHILOSOPHY

Not sure there is any rhyme or reason but we're here and I want to taste everything and make the most of it.
Favourite quote which sums it all up is from Augusten Burroughs' memoir 'Running With Scissors'-

"In the opening to the Mary Tyler Moore Show, Mary's in the supermarket, hurrying through the aisles. She pauses at the meat case, picks up a steak and checks the price. Then rolls her eyes, shrugs and tosses it in the cart. That's kind of how I feel. Sure I would have liked things to be different. But, 'roll of eyes' what can you do? 'shrug' I threw the meat in my cart and moved on.”

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Happy to lend my couch to awesome people looking for a place to stay and people to meet. I'm free a lot of the time now as well and would love to show anyone around my beautiful city! I don't live alone so would need to consult my sister first in regards to dates and times but usually free to host :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had Couch Surfers stay on my couch, really awesome, friendly and incredibly intelligent travelers and it is these experiences which have inspired me to do the same :)

It's also a great way just to meet people even if you don't necessarily stay at their place!

Music, Movies, and Books

Horror films, Foreign films particularly French cinema and as for literature there are too many to list, books are an amazing getaway.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have yet to travel as much as I would like but honestly feel I see amazing things all the time, like how the younger generation grows more accepting and tolerant of everyone which puts a huge smile on my face! And the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in Sydney 2012 where I got to be inspired by families and lovers alike holding hands and fighting peacefully for equality.

On my more worldy travel sense, it would have to be riding a bicycle for the first time through Paris one drunken, beautiful night.

And...

Standing on top of the Bell Tower of the gothically stunning Notre Dame, so close to these amazing gargoyles, each one with it's particular personality! Love. Love. Love.

And...

Cruising on a boat down the river with a very special person, learning the history of Paris through it's vein and it's lifeline ever since it's Parsii beginnings - the river Seine.

And...

Watching firsthand a group of men well into their eighties play music passionately on a Parisien bridge as a woman, also in her eighties danced away, inspiring everyone who watched, glued and inspired by them!

And...

Seeing and hearing Sierra Boggess live in the West End. A voice... just... there are no words.

And...

Jumping in a pool in my underwear on a ship in the middle of the ocean at 3 am. Stars and ocean as far as I could see.

And as for Paris the list can go on and on...

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to impart my knowledge of fitness and how to
improve other's health and wellbeing. I also love to talk about psychology after years of being a carer for someone with a mental impairment. I'm an incredibly curious person.
