About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have fun and enjoy life to the fullest. You only live once, right.

ABOUT ME

I'm a very easy going person who enjoys hanging out with friends & family and gaining new experiences. I love the simple things in life like going for a long spontaneous walk, discovering a small village and discovering a small cute cafe in the middle of it. I love taking photos, singing, watching movies, long haul travel, watching almost all sports, gadgets, camping, folding laundry, rearrange things into order (a bit OCD!) and spending time with my two beautiful children, Luis and Lia.

I work in events and will organise just about anything. I also love to watch and work in Theatre and have done on and off for many years. I enjoy the experience of being part of a community during the production and making loads of friends in the process. It's an awesome experience.

I also do security at the airport, keeping people safe before they get on their flights. I love this job as I get to chat to people from all around the world and hop on a plane straight after work.

Would love to travel more when I have more time and a bit more money. Not really much of an excuse but it's the only one I have ;P

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short to be sitting around doing nothing. Life is not about how long you live but about the quality of those years that you do live. I want to see and experience as much of the world as possible so that when I die, no matter how early or late that is, I can happily say that I have lived.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, I don't have a place of my own to share but when I do, it will be open to CSers all over the world.

I've been organising a Couchsurfing meeting in Marburg, Germany once a month since 2013. I've met so many great people and made lots of good friends from it.

I attend loads of CS events in London and try to attend events in other countries when I am travelling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have met lots of CSers in Germany where I spend a lot of time and trying to make more of the CS events in London.

Interests

I love meeting new people, especially from other countries, getting to know different cultures and religions to expand my knowledge of the world.

I enjoy hiking and climbing, when I get the chance, but not just anywhere, it has to be somewhere quite significant.

I love driving and would like to do a long road trip one day, wherever the road takes me.

I am a keen photographer and always have a camera on me. Whether it's my DSLR, GoPro or my phone, I'm always prepared ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the amazing things I have done is visiting the Grand Canyon by helicopter and rafting along the Colorado River. Seeing such a marvel of nature was such an overwhelming experience that it brought tears to my eyes. Just the scale and majesty of it was so awesome that you can't help but feel small.

Las Vegas is crazy and surreal place to be in. The whole time you're there, it feels like you're in a movie. Everything is big and loud and it really is an adults playground.

Horseback riding in the Hollywood Hills was a great experience. It was the first time I had ridden a horse and to do so in a beautiful location with amazing views was the cherry on top.

Travelling from the north to the south of Vietnam and then up to Cambodia. They are such a beautiful countries and the people are amazing.

Being at the San Fermin Festival in Pamplona, Spain! Such an amazing experience. Here is a video I made from my time there - https://youtu.be/DlSU0sZE0wg

Climbing to the top of Mount, Fuji, Japan and watching the sunrise from the top. It's incredible to see the sun rising from above the clouds! It looks like you should be in a plane but you're out in the open!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to juggle (just three ball at the moment), how to make origami (crane, dragon, flower, heart, water bomb, etc), and I started playing the ukulele and I sing so, if there is a uke around, I'll be happy to entertain you.
