ABOUT ME

Hello world!

My name is Pigeon. I have various nick names which include, Pidge, Pij, Widgie, Widget, Didge....the list continues.

Yes... Pigeon is what you call those annoying birds that poop everywhere, and yes I know the name is unusual... BUT it is also super cool and I bet you've never met someone called Pigeon before. If you have, I shall buy you a drink (I will require proof haha) if you haven't, that makes me unique!
*NOTE: I will not poop everywhere like a pigeon, my parents toilet trained me. Yay!

I've just got back from traveling around Europe, India and South East Asia for almost 2 years. (I've been back for a year now! wow time flies) I loved every second of traveling. I visited many countries, saw countless beautiful places and made so many amazing life long friends. A lot of this was thanks to couchsurfing, so now it's time to repay the favour and start hosting some awesome people, maybe you! I understand what it's like to be a surfer, so I think I'll make a pretty great host, let's find out :)

I have a full time job that sometimes requires weekend work, shift work, and on call work. So I might not be able to hang out all the time. Although I'm sure you're all big kids and don't need me to hold your hand around little old RADelaide.
**I don't go out as much as I used to as I'm trying to save $$$ for my next trip

I've fallen in love with travel and the couch surfing concept. Every day I am amazed at how kind and generous people can be. One thing I have learnt is yes there are bad people and negative things in the world, but the good people and positive things heavily outweigh these! Let me help you experience this as well.

I like to meet new people, learn about how other people live, try new foods, learn new languages, go out for a drink, laugh, party, see live music (or hear) and just generally enjoy what life has to offer.

I enjoy cooking. It's pretty expensive to eat out in Oz so cooking is a common thing. I like to cook healthy meals using organic ingredients when I can. It's nice to know what goes in your food and where it comes from.

*IMPORTANT*

- I use couch surfing as a place to make friend's. NOT as a dating website. I have a girlfriend, I am very happy with my relationship, I am not interested in anything more than friendship.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can spend a lot of time on a couch.
Occasionally I've tried to surf (being from Australia) but I suck at it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So many good experiences meeting new people and seeing new places.
I have made some friends that I know I will be friends with for a very long time through couch surfing.

Intereses

I love music! Local gigs, dj's, music festivals.... anything music and I'm in!

I love to travel and experience/see different cultures (this is an obvious one of course!).

Photography.

Food! I love food, and am always game to try new things.

I love the beach.

Girls.

Música, películas y libros

Who doesn't like music?! It's amazing in all its many forms.
I enjoy indie/alternative/acoustic/trance/electro/house/minimal/dub/gypsy/jazz/reggae music.
I love learning about new bands and new types of music. Maybe you can suggest some bands/artists and I'd be more than happy to share with you some of my favoruite Australian music knowledge.

Favourite book is the alchemist. I highly enjoy reading and would love some recommendations!

- I saw my guinea pig give birth when I was younger, I was totally grossed out when it ate the placenta
