Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to love and give and live life to the brim
ABOUT ME
I'm voracious, jolly, awkward, outgoing, and quirky.
I love freshly fried French fries, the cool breeze on my sweaty face after a three mile run, the smell of aged books, Chopin's etudes and nocturnes, banana-coconut milkshakes, the deserted silence of the TMC library at closing time, Peter and Paul's epistles, and a thousand other delightful things.
PHILOSOPHY
I live my life to glorify God by enjoying Him forever, by spreading a passion for the supremacy of God for the joy of all peoples in Jesus, who loved me and gave His life for me when I hated him as much as a live three-inch poop-brown cockroach squirming in my bathtub.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host, surf, and have fun with the CS Houston community.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosted and surfed innumerable times. I told myself at the beginning of this whole CS adventure to make a tally but I never did. Just look at the references if you're curious.
Interests
I love to travel and meet people from other cultures. And I looooove to eat!
- books
- dining

Music, Movies, and Books
I love classical piano, jazz, French and Spanish artsy movies, JRR Tolkien, Stephen King, John Piper, Wayne Grudem, JI Packer, and a thousand other authors.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing the sun set from the Big Sur by the Bixby bridge. You peer down and hundreds of feet below, the crashing waves of the deep blue Pacific thunder on the sheer granite cliffs of the California coast line. Simply awesome.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach anyone interested - no medical knowledge and equipment necessary - how to resuscitate a fully grown human adult in cardiac/respiratory arrest with... wait for it ... your bare hands!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a Filipino-Texan, having been born and raised in the Philippines and yet have lived here in the US for a decade now. And so I consider myself a mongrel of sorts, having my Filipino identity and yet being American to some extent, and would love to share my thoughts and sentiments regarding this.
I also cook quite a bit, since I love to eat good food! I can cook a mean dish of Roman carbonara (with guanciale, pancetta and Pecorino Romano cheese, no less!), bulalo (a hearty Filipino beef stew), among other dishes.
Countries I’ve Visited
Germany, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Palestine, Slovenia, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
