About Me

CURRENT MISSION

trying to ride my bike to the moon

ABOUT ME

I don't believe in bountaries. In fact, I love my old bike so much, I am currently on a mission to ride it to the moon and back again. While still fighting against gravity in this case, I am very pleased for its excistence when it comes to dancing the nights away to some good old rock'n'roll at any bars or clubs in town. Usually by the time after some beers (and after my second whiskey) I can't stop requesting songs such as These Boots Are Made For Walkin' or some Ella Fitzgerald's. It's that time of the evening when I start sneaking around for cigarettes, although I grew up in a strict non-smoking family. As a singer it's not good for my voice either. (But I keep this all a secret, I shouldn't even be talking about this right here so don't even think about telling anyone or I'll turn into Nancy Sinatra and we both know how that song ends I just mentioned, yeah). But as always you long for the things in life that only come with risks and fears. Additionally I have also given up on sunblockers although I sunburn very easily. But my pale skin makes me look like a puppet and I don't want to waste my money on porcelain make-up anymore. I have a problem that I tend to talk to much (you probably noticed by now). If you don't mind I would go on recommending some stunning music to you as always or talk about my passion for the Swedish woods and my canoe at our little red summer cottage at the lakeside of Southern Sweden. My inner child never wants to grow up, which keeps me seaking for adventures, travelling and new challenges. Some day I want to learn how to play the trumpet and learn French. If you wonder how that matches, I am sorry I can't tell you. But there are some more lovely adjectives than crazy, which people wouldn't come around gossiping about me. ;)
spontaneous, warm-hearted, creative, out-going, hopelessly romantic, humorously, caring, (probably a bit too generous), passionate, wild and calm, likes to listen to people who can tell a great story, likes to be inspired by other prospects about life.
And what I personally have to add is, that I try to be a super optimistic person even though if times are tough. I believe that you should always try to see the positive point of things going wrong. When one door closes another window might open! It's not only fitting in context with cs but also in life.

PHILOSOPHY

Home is where your heart is.

Nothing is impossible.

You've got the whole world in your hands.

The best things in life are free.

A friend once told me there are three rules to follow to live a happy life.
I proudly present you:
1.laught a lot.
2.love a lot.
3.Eat a lot of candy.

If you are carring a green branch in your heart,
sometime a songbird will come and settle down on it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couch surfing experience I've ever had was terrific!
It was 2010, when I went to Gothenburg, Sweden and met the nicest people ever. It became a real friendship I don't wanna miss anymore. We met over and over again.
In 2012 I hosted someone from Minnesota and she became a close friend of mine too, so this year I will travel 'round USA and Canada with her. Yippie!
Then hosted some musicans from the USA and surfed several times in Iceland, England, Portugal, Sweden and Austria.
It's a fantastic way to meet new people around the world!
Some are similar some completely different, but you can always learn from them. And the best thing is, you just never know what's gonna happen.

Interests

I love music. Mostly I spend my time by making music with friends. But I also love to jam along strangers.
Music's connecting people in another language or even without words. Yes, I am also into philosophy..

I like to work at different projects. And love singing!!!
So like f.e. an a-capella group which I conduct, or occasionally bands in which I sing at. I like to play the guitar and piano too, which doesn't say I am very skilled at it. (;
Now I started playing the transverse flute and sometime I wanna learn to play the trumpet and the banjo. But for now, my main interest is to improve my guitar skills, so if you could help me with this, I'd be super happy!
I also love doing some creative stuff like, painting or doing handicrafts or designing dresses. And oh I am very into the small things like moments that matter or just colourful peanuts that fill your life with joy and make it worth living.
Another important way to extract my energy from is by beeing outside the nature in the woods or on top of a beautiful mountain. It is also just nice to lose yourself in daydreaming while sitting at the seaside or a beautiful flowing river I think.
Learning about different cultures and learning in general by meeting new people and listen the stories they tell. And guess what, of course I like to travel a lot, especially to the North of Europe.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: I listen to all sorts of music all the time.
And I am that one kind of person that always has a song stucking in one's head for every situation of life. Not always to good, to sing out loud "Obladi Oblada", when a friend is in need. (;
Especially I like folk, pop and rock music. At the moment I am really inspired by Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, Sigur Rós, Ben Howard, Radical Face, The Shins, Greg Laswell, The Beatles, Regina Spektor, Simon & Garfunkel, Florence and the Machine, Glen Hansard, Belle and Sebastian, Agnus and Julia Stone, Billie Holiday, First Aid Kit, Mumford and Sons, Adele, Emiliana Torrini, Yann Tiersen, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Radiohead, Seabear, just to mention a few..
But I can also shake my hips to some dubstep sounds and of course music from the 50ths, 60ths or 70ths. Time doesn't matter as long as it is good and good music is timeless anyway! I am always open for the newest or oldest shit, so just tell me what you are on and let the discussion begin. (:

LITERATURE: meaningful stuff that touches me. I like writing poems and songs.

MOVIES: Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.
"As It Is In Heaven (Så som i himmelen)",
"The Pursuit of Happyness", "Forrest Gump", "Garden State",
But if you want to watch a horror movie with me you woun't be too pleased, because I will probably laught prophylactically all the time, because I am eighter too scared or too bored!
