Reading, listening to music (jazz, classical, folk and world music), swimming, taking interesting courses (modern American theater, contemporary Mexican photography of last 20 years), photography, art, film, good food and good company. Watching TV5 Monde.
Am fervent reader of New York Review of Books and the New Yorker.

Traveling to the jungle first-growth forest in Ecuador by tiny plane, hiking in the jungle to a canoe on a river leading to a campsite

Visiting the Galapagos islands via a small yacht with motor and room for only 6 cabins.
