Only hosting so far. I tried in one city only to be a surfer, and found no host...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Positive.
I heard about CouchSurfing by a friend who hosted me several times (and I hosted him too) before he mentionned CS to me.

Interests

Travelling, meeting new (if interesting) people, history, Paris...

I love (big) cities (under 5 million inhabitants, I considere them as mere villages) much more than "nature": Paris, New York, Istanbul, Shanghai, Bangkok, Cairo, Sao Paulo, Bombay, Mexico City, Tokyo, for instance, are perfect places for me! But a few villages like Algiers, Izmir, Singapore, Kinshasa, Vienna, Casablanca or even Amsterdam are nice too...

Music: Classical european music from Mozart to Brahms, old Rock'n Roll, french songs from Bobby Lapointe to Benabar...

Books: Tournier, Yourcenar, Maalouf, Ecco, some Houellebecq... But more essays and history than novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen the Urartean citadel in Van.

I swimmed in the River of Perfumes.

I visited several countries which do not exist any longer.

Hitch-hiking back home from Lebanon, I got a 4,000 km ride direct from Homs (Syria) to Paris!

Watching full moon over lake Tanganyika while listening to Casta Diva by Maria Callas.
