About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Around (most of) the world in 180 days

ABOUT ME

I'm a friendly guy who likes to travel and experience the world. I like to meet new people, make new friends and have a good time and think couch surfing is a great way to do this.
I enjoy going out to have a great time but like to balance this with sightseeing and downtime also.
I'm a computer programmer and have been a world finalist in international programming contests such as TopCoder, and have worked for both Facebook and Google in the US.
Born and brought up in India's beach town, Chennai. Graduating out of college, and have decided to take a nice long vacation to travel the world! Looking forward to meet a lot of new friends here! :)

PHILOSOPHY

Life is beautiful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first couch surfing experience in Glasgow, Scotland. The host was very kind and helpful, and made me feel at home right from the moment I arrived! I think CouchSurfing is a great way to meet wonderful people, and I am looking forward to hosting, as my way to give back to our collective travelers community.

Interests

Love to meet people, learn about other cultures, and make new friends.
Computer Science. Entrepreneurship.
Love nature and hiking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept at the top of Yosemite National Park with just a blanket in the winter (Woke up with a serious ice cover)
Learn't to drive in a parking lot, and drove 1500 miles that weekend ;) I generally learn stuff hands-on, the hard way.
A gymnast in my childhood. I can still (barely) manage to walk up-side-down.
The only Indian world finalist at TopCoder High School tournament 2008, a computer science programming contest.
