Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Traveling through Europe and Asia this summer!
ABOUT ME
We are a young couple who have been together for six years. We like to try new things, and have always wanted to travel for an extended period of time. We tend to be quiet and introspective, but we are also very adventurous and can be very social when engaged. We like quiet nights at a nice restaurant, or lounging on the beach, or reading in the park, but we can also be goaded into pubs and clubs when pushed. We are very adaptable. We are also very considerate and promise to clean up after ourselves! We are both non-smokers.
Aly is a vegan so we would be interested in going to vegetarian-friendly restaurants, but we have no issue with staying with people who eat meat. Sam eats everything and loves trying new things!
PHILOSOPHY
We have never found that one thing that makes us happy. We are always finding new, small things, activities, ideas, people, places, books, objects that makes life wonderful. We want to see everything the world has to offer us, all those little, amazing entities, and maybe find that one thing that triumphs over them all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We are new to this site but would love to meet new people by couch surfing during our travels this summer. Hopefully we can host people someday too!

Interests
We like to be creative, and we are often drawn to doing small creative endeavors. Recently we worked for three weeks making Muppet-style puppets (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rpxmg4RbBAc), just for the fun of it. Aly makes Youtube videos, scrapbooks, and paintings, while Sam writes short stories and carves walking-sticks for fun. We enjoy hiking, watching movies and epic tv shows, and we read quite a lot. Aly likes to read philosophical books and memoir, YA lit and picture books, while Sam loves being immersed in dark fantasy novels, the more heartbreaking the better.
When traveling, Sam loves old things, like old buildings and castles and churches, and Aly likes the eccentric aspects of the places we visit, like strange museums and shops. Given that we like such different experiences, the two of us are up to try almost anything.
