About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel, learn, and encounter new experiences!

ABOUT ME

I enjoy meeting new people. Even if we only end up meeting once and don't keep in touch, I still cherish the experience of getting to know another person in the world, their culture, interests, and perspectives. I think time is a valuable thing, so I'm always looking for something to do with it. That's why I like to travel!

PHILOSOPHY

No Regrets. Seriously- they weigh you down and are extra luggage you do not want to hold onto.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm an activist and an educator, so if I find something I'm passionate about, I still to it and learn as much as I can. Being a journalist helps me to understand better how we are not alone in the world, so I'm always looking for how I can help others and co-exist with each other. I think couch surfing is an excellent way to do that. Though I don't have the best space to host someone now, I hope to do so in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just joined the couch surfing experience and I'm looking to go on at least one trip before I decide to start hosting people (plus, my home is kinda crowded right now with 3 dogs and 3 women living in a two bedroom house- yay college!). I've been traveling before when I was younger, but I want to actually enjoy and thrive in the experience!

Interests

I like flowers, singing in the shower, making random voices and noises, and dogs! I can't get enough of that puppy love. I love snow, but only the dry kind you can pack into the perfect snowball instead of the slush NC tends to host. I love music to the point where I wake up at the crack of dawn during the summer to host a morning show with my campus radio station. Which, if you like lazy summers, is dedication if you ask me :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't watch very many movies, but I am a theatre kid! I'm a theatre education major, so I'm all about the live experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love my job because of the opportunities it has given me, helping me to encounter some pretty amazing experiences. I've had interviews (face to face and phone calls) with entertainers such as Johnny Knoxville and the Dudesons and English rocker Frank Turner, I tore down the concert set of U2's 360 tour in Raleigh, I'll be traveling to Bonnaroo this year on my press pass and anticipate meeting even more incredible artists.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to find the best music spots anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour away from my house. Maybe a little bit of American Sign Language. All different kinds of improv (theatre) games that will make you laugh your butt off. Share some of the best spots for Mexican, Irish, Italian, and American cuisine Greensboro has to offer, plus some rockin' art galleries, theatre spots, and dance zones all in downtown Greensboro.
