About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I've lived around the States and traveled a bit in Europe and Central/South America. I finished university and set out for Australia on a work holiday visa. I lived on the beaches, in my hammock, and did whatever work I could get. The lifestyle was addicting and I realized there's a lot of cool stuff out there to see and do. Most recently I've been traveling around China gathering information for a rock climbing guidebook (check out climb china on facebook!)

PHILOSOPHY

live while you live and then die and be done with it

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I volunteer at a language school in Yangshuo. We offer spare dorms to couch surfers. The school wants CS-ers who can stay one week -Monday through Friday asks that guests spend an hour each day talking to some of the English students. They're all really nice, love practicing with foreigners, and hearing about your travels. It's a different kind of couch surfing, but cool because you get to hang out with local foreigners and Chinese

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had unbelievable hosts. People have gone out of their way to show me around Amsterdam, Perth, and Christchurch, while others were kind enough to give me space to crash for a few nights. Rural couchsurfing in NZ is pretty cool.
