About Me

ESPAÑOL

Hablo un poquito de español, pero estoy mucho mejor en inglés y alemán :D.

CURRENT MISSION

Visit Colombia, meeting old Friends and hopefully new Friends :).
Actually I wanted to go with my fiancée for vacation but unfortunately she did not got a vacation approval from her office. Meanwhile I had to take some leftover days due to German law and so I ended up booking this trip to Colombia to visit some old Friends who I know from my time as an exchange student in Strasbourg (France).
Of course I also want to take the chance to learn much more about this country, to meet new people and have an exciting time.

ABOUT ME

As probably most of couchsurfers I enjoy traveling a lot. I like because I had already great experiences as I did it the first time in the United States after my internship in Austin and a second time in Indonesia. Always I met people who showed me so much more of their country I would have never experienced by my own. At the end it is not so important for me to stay at someone’s place but more to spend some time with the local people and hear their stories about their country. (So if you maybe read these lines and you can’t host me but still want to meet me then I looking forward to get in contact with you ;)

The rest about me beside my travel life. Well I kind of just started working in the IT-Strategy field in Frankfurt in Germany after finishing my master in business and computer science and now living there since a while with my fiancée. I was born in Potsdam which is a wonderful city close by Berlin and I highly recommend everyone to visit this town.

I just came back from a ski trip with some friends in Austria and besides skiing I like swimming, sailing, diving, surfing and actually everything else which has something to do with water.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A bunch of years ago a friend told me about couchsurfing and I just looked at her and thought she was talking about a new crazy water sport (couch – surfing … yes old joke). However I learned and as I finished my internship in Austin I wanted to see more of the states and as I was traveling alone and was on a tight budget it was probably the best choice I could make. And I didn’t regret it at all.

Interests

On my agenda every year is to do new things therefore I am open for everything.

  • concerts
  • chocolate
  • traveling
  • music
  • surfing
  • sailing
  • filming
  • diving
  • computer games
  • fotography
  • audiobooks
  • information technology
  • great people

Music, Movies, and Books

Since I figured out that audiobooks are less heavy than real books and also possible to follow with closed eyes, I have listen to so many books… I cannot count them anymore.
TV is more difficult… like books to heavy… I watch everything I like on my tablet. And that starts with youtube clips, goes over every kind of movie and ends with morning news.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiking in the middle of Porto in Portugal.
Bad idea.
No one picked us up.
Next campground bunch of kilometers away.
"Oh look... a forest next to the street. Let's walk there."
*some minutes later
"Woooow"

We came out right here under the huge billboard

https://maps.google.de/maps?saddr=41.143987,-8.635388&daddr=Cais+Cavaco+94,+4440 -452+Vila+Nova+de+Gaia,+Portugal&hl=de&sll=41.144011,-8.635232&sspn=0.000613,0.001238&geocode=%3BCUxTWHZIuJ9fFfrPcwIdWT18_ylHNr2oE2UkDTFAV1S7VfkB8Q&t=h&mra=mift&mrsp=0&sz=20&z=20

You have the perfect view of Porto. A place which always would recommend to camp... even if the billboard makes crazy noises during the night.
