About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a 27 years old travel lover who recently moved in Lorient (Bretagne) France, after 7 years spent in Paris and 2 in Nantes.

I'd say I'm quite down to earth and simple, as well as full of energy when it comes to building new travel projets or new projects at all. Basically can't keep myself unoccupied and trying to live life at its fullest !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm quite used to Couchsurfing as a sofa-surfer but never got the chance to host anyone since my apartments were always too small! Hopefully, it will happend soon thanks to my new life in Bretagne. As a couchsurfer, I loved every part of it and will keep it as my favourite way to travel anywhere.

I'm also really up for meeting people and contributing to a good Couchsurfing dynamic in the place I live in.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Been hosted in Amsterdam (NL), Liverpool, Bristol, the Cotswolds (UK), Vancouver, Victoria (CAN), Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, San Diego, Hawaii (US).

So haven't had the chance to host anyone yet because of my situation, but pretty excited about doing it when I'll be able to!

Interests

Outside of traveling, I love anything ocean-related (which is why I chose to live on the western-coast and to work as an "ocean administrator"). I also love music (playing as well as listening), hiking, hitchhiking, sailing, lego constructing (recently got the whole new gigantic Hogwarts for Christmas, so excited), cinema, or just going out for beers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few experiences worth mentioning :

- Spent a year in Vancouver, Canada, in 2013-2014 as an exchange student. Obviously a wonderful time where I could focus more on traveling around (mostly hitchhiking) than on University. Went all the way down to California through Seattle and Portland, as well as Hawaii, the Sunshine Coast (British Columbia, Canada), and NY. I got to meet wonderful people on the way.

- Hitchhiked for two weeks in the UK with my little brother in July 2015. This was our first brother/sister trip and we loved it : decided to go from London to Bristol, going through the Cotswolds and Stonehenge on the way. Both fell in love with Bristol and the Cotswolds.

- Spent a month in Vietnam in 2016, traveling with local buses, which was a true adventure as the transportation system there is such a delightful mess.

- Last but not least, I spent 7 weeks on a french Navy ship thanks to my training as an ocean-administrator. We dropped anchor in Cartagena (Colombia), Veracruz (Mexico), Charleston (US) and Ponta Delgada (portuguese Acores). Truly the most incredible time I ever had, enjoyed every part of it and wish I were still onboard.

Next projects : South America (advice are more than welcome), New Zealand, more of the US (planning to do all of the 50 states, I've done 11 so far), more of Asia, more of European countries, Overseas territories, Iceland and maybe even farther north like Greenland could be really interesting and adventurous.
