About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

hola :) Updating this...have returned from Xela, Guatemala after 6 wonderful months & am now back living in Philly spending my time on social work & salsa dancing. I'm blessed to have traveled to a few places in unique ways and ache to know more parts of the world... I've realized that I'm more interested in connecting with others than I am visiting those "must-see" places. Pyramids and mountains and all of that can be cool, but I always find my myself much more intrigued by hanging with locals & chatting with those whose lives appear so different from mine, yet with whom I can find a way to connect.
I'm passionate, open minded and quite sarcastic (which I've finally realized doesn't always translate!)

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live in the present moment with passion and gratitude for what I have, always seeking a deeper meaning while enjoying the simple things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

currently have not surfed or hosted, which is why my reference section is pretty weak as of now! But I'd love to meet some of the wonderful couch surfers out there through different events :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I´ve met great people in Philly and Cochabamba through the surfing groups.

Interests

I enjoy laughing for as long & loud as possible with those I love, music, journaling, reading, deep conversations with good friends or complete strangers, finding inspiration in unique places, tequila, photos, languages - charlando en castellano, salsa dancing (don't mind my lack of rhythm)and ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think all of the powerful "amazing things" that come to my mind wouldn't really come across as particularly amazing to others, but I've had a few life-changing experiences that I found in moments of peace in extremely impoverished places. a bit too hard to explain in this little box but i'd be happy to share at another time :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Conversation! I love any meaningful connection through spoken word...my fondest memories throughout my travels have been those of sharing time with others. Long convos on bus rides, over beers, or in la plaza central warm my heart. I wish I could say I was a fabulous cook and could whip you up a delicious meal...not exactly, but I can bake you some delicious chocolate chip cookies :)
