Overview
About Me
Nomadic freelance philosopher, prone to arbitrary mischief, and spontaneous far away excursions. I've been doing interdisciplinary studies on and off for about nine years now, and for about five of those I've used the student loan to travel this blue ball we call home.
I'm quite up front in general as it attracts fun people, and I think normal is "what you think i think socially acceptable", so as that's relative, no one really is normal anyway. Always up for shenanigans, always curious, always got a project going on (currently looking for a ship to use for a social project/floating hippie flat). A base philosophy of mine is to enjoy what's good and then learn from the rest (thereby making it good). Another, which might be fitting here, is that i try never to leave a place in worse shape than it was when i found it, but at the same time always to leave something behind and to take something with you, be it an idea, a memory, or a keepsake.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to discuss ideas, swap stories, share experiences, and I find that, hands down, the best way to expand my own perspective, is to partake in those of others. Then I'm also something of a novel experience junkie, so I like to try pretty much everything. And, of course, how better to find the sweet spots in a new place than to hang out with the locals.

Music, Movies, and Books
This list in full would be neverending, but I like music independent of genre even if I tend to like indie stuff more. Reads are mainly classics and scientific literature, and I'm a serious moviebuff too, so lets save that one for another time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Getting lost on purpose, with no plan, in a new place where I don't speak the language has only ever led to seriously great experiences.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love conducting culinary experiments, I've got some technical education, but I study everything I get my hands on and I love analysing things, getting to the functional principles behind it so that I can apply them in any situation. I'll happily share and discuss anything I've knowledge on.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I enjoy macgyvering stuff, so I often repair and build things for people I meet. For example I've done electrics for a hostel in Bangkok, fixed a shower in Brussels, and I regularly fix various electronics for people I meet.
