ABOUT US

You will notice that this used to be Ahmed's profile (old references, etc.), but as we are travelling together, we tried to make it a couple-profile, sorry if it's a bit confusing ;)

So, about us. We are Ahmed, 31, from Tunisia and Julia, 28, from Germany. Our story: Ahmed grew up in Tunisia, came to France for his studies and then fell in love with a blond girl in Frankfurt, followed her to Spain for almost a year and back to Frankfurt afterwards, after that she followed him to Tunisia for a few months. That means we've been living together in 3 different countries so far, we hope that soon we will add another one to the list.

Describing yourself is quite difficult, we would say that we are both easygoing and open-minded people. When we travel, we like to get in touch with the locals, try to learn their language, get to know about their culture and everyday life, rather than visiting all sights and cities. Also we prefer a deep conversation and good food over partying.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

We love to discover other cultures and languages by meeting people from all over the world (also for that reason we both worked in hostels). The couches we surfed together have brought us to the most interesting and inspiring people and the surfers we hosted (when we had a free room for a few days) in Frankfurt are now amongst our best friends. So until now we only had great experiences with Couchsurfing and it has influenced our lives in a positive way.

Centres d'intérêt

Ahmed is crazy about sports, he loves playing and watching football (soccer), although most of his life he's been playing handball. Also he is a bike person.
We both love traveling (of course) and learning new languages (in our opinion the key to really getting to know a country and its people), as well as cooking (we are always interested in trying and learning new recipes from all over the world). Apart from that, we are interested in ways of natural and sustainable living and Julia is really into healthy food and yoga. As we lived one year in Granada, we have a strong bond to everything that has to do with Spain and especially Andalucía, when we hear someone speaking Spanish in the streets of Frankfurt it puts a big smile on our faces ;)
