About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Take up every opportunity that comes my way

ABOUT ME

I'm a bit nerdy with an odd sense of humour. I love that right now I can devote so much time to studying and traveling, just generally learning and experiencing new things. I am currently studying psychology and I am constantly astonished by complexity the human brain. I take a lot of pleasure in art and music, beautiful things and beautiful design. I also like going out and having a good dance, one of the best things in life; along with good gigs and music festivals. I like cheese, not eating meat, painting, klimt, and sunshine.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that life is all about transaction/communication. Its often the communication and the interaction we have with others that gives our lives meaning.

I believe that all people are essentially social beings who are seeking ways to meet their needs and desires. Some people achieve these in more socially acceptable ways than others. I think an understanding into why people behavior the way they do is more useful that black and white judgement.

Interests

I am interested in music, the visual arts especially contemporary painting and sculpture, Oscar Wilde, art history, film and learning about other cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things that I have bore witness to is the development of my two little nephews (1y.o and 4y.o.). Personality formation, development of motor skills and language acquisition. They are little miracles, its so cool to see the people they are becoming with distinct tastes, mannerisms, characteristic facial expressions...

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to meet people who can teach me new dances, languages or new recipes. I would love to learn from/talk to anyone who has done some study in art history, political theory, social constructivism or anyone one with a diverse taste in music.

I can make good jelly shots and vodka melons. I am also very good at preparing meals from the barest of pantries.
I have also done a bit of study in my time, so I have probably retained some of that information (in psychology and applied ethics such as bioethics). I find the history of psychology (extending back into philosophy) very interesting. I am particularly fascinated by the link between developing psychological theories, their historical context and the way which we define ourself and view others. I could probably share/bore someone with ideas around those areas.
