ABOUT ME

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I haven't surfed that much, but up until recently I was living in a large sharehouse/squat with, in addition to the 7 housemates, an extra 2 to 6 peeps per night!! I learnt a lot in that time, about other places in the world, how to be considerate of others, how to manage conflict, but also how cool it is to have 15 or more people all cooking and eating together all the time, how people's individual interests can benefit a whole house, and how much fun you can have without leaving a house sometime.

Interests

On a daily basis I spend a lot of spare time reading and cooking tasty vegetarian food, I'm also big on rock climbing and seeing bands. When I have time I like to get outdoors and out of the city. If I'm in a new place, I like to walk around and try my best to get lost, find a chilled out place for a coffee before trying to find my way back.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some favourite authors are Hesse, Kundera (my old fav), Hrabal (probably my new fav) and Joyce, Bulgakov, Tolstoy, Cervantes, Camus, Hasek, Saramago, I'm currently reading David. F. Wallace (inifinite jest) and loving him, and would generally like to know more about N. American literature, and would give anyone my ears if they know lots and are willing to talk about it. I'm a massive lover of books in general, and will also talk about it for hours if I can, and have been told to shutup once before when it comes to the topic of them.

Some of my fav music is - Tame Impala, Nicolas Jaar, Architecture in Helsinki, Japandroids, Yeasayer, Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear, Asobi Seksu, Death From Above, Cloud Control, Girl Talk, Beatles, The Knife..the list goes on, but all of those ones I've lost my shit to at least once.
