ABOUT ME

K am feeling old but am not really- am 38- used to host surfers years ago before the babies- when I had my first I still did and we had such fun. Now I have three- may suit families or people with high tolerance for noise better now! I am a teacher but not defined by it- have learned more from the kids than they have from me. Have three children, aged 8, 4 and nearly 2- dont have a spare bedroom but am happy to have people on sofa or spare mattress

PHILOSOPHY

Ok my personal philosophy changes, seriously, everyones does, anyone who has life completely figured out is either stoned or lying. Am trying to cultivate an attitude of gratitude- actually I am doing it- I love my kids, I love good nice yummy food, and dvd nights, and sunny days in the park- things are tough all round but life is what you make and expect of it. I want my kids to meet a load of people from everywhere- and if I cant get to them I want them to come to me- I would LOVE if everyone who came to stay brought a story with them for my kids- imagine it- youre world to be derived from all of the worlds outside of it- we are much bigger than we imagine

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

emmmmmm not sure about this one- starting now- would love to welcome families- in particular single parent families who are travelling about- god how amazing are single parent families- actually I correct myself how amazing are families that travel to open their children 's minds- am well open to putting up families here contact me

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well years ago used to be involved in this, met some fab people- remember Renee from Australia she stayed with me an my little girl for a month and was so chilled I thought she should be reclined- remember some guy who got stuck in Dublin airport coming for dinner and heading back to sleep there- I loved the openness and the people that I met through it then, it helped me and I think it will help me now

Interests

Books- love them- magical realism ones- crime ones
Dancing- not proper dancing with steps- bouncing dancing on the floor of a disco- that kind
Education- true education will never happen in a classroom
Unitariasm- very interested in this

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

ok Ive seen three kids born- beat that- sounds mad but you cant
have seen sunsets and sunrises that took my breath away
have seen hardship, loss, and pain
have seen joy and happiness

Teach, Learn, Share

God this is a hard one- I can hold my own in a conversation about literature but I dont believe anyone can claim ownership over an area- I can teach from my own life experiences and maybe you can teach me from yours- god Im an expert on nothing but am happy to admit it and discuss and dream along with someone else
