About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Emigrated to Melbourne and living the dream!

ABOUT ME

Slightly music & dance obsessed, a bit work obsessed and very Australia obsessed, that would be me in a nutshell. Also my house looks like a rainbow threw up and I have a jungle toilet and underwater kitchen. Howzat?

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too fun to be cranky, look around and take in all the pretty things that surround you every day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I tend not to host all that much, but really enjoy taking part in activities.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just fantastic, such a great way to meet people. I moved from overseas to Melbourne and would have gone nuts without the wonderful CS community!

Music, Movies, and Books

Gosh, I would not even know where to begin with music. Friends joke that anything Aussie would be considered good music by me and they're more than half right there. Favourites are Josh Pyke, Bag Raiders, the Presents, Andy Bull and many more. I do like other music too, for instance The National, Elbow, Frightened Rabbit, M83, Bon Iver, Jens Lekman and loads, loads more.

I like my movies independent, inspiring, funny and a bit romantic. Favourites are "Lock, Stock", the Breakfast club, High Fidelity, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Garden State, Dead Poets Society, L'Auberge Espagnol and Donnie Darko.
There's a few TV shows I could watch a 100 times over like Gilmore Girls and Six Feet Under.

As far as books are concerned I devour contemporary Brittish humor like Ben Elton, Nick Hornby or Helen Fielding. I do enjoy something more towards my students level like Harry Potter or the Hunger Games more than I care to admit too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A tie between snorkeling with whale sharks, turtles and manta rays OR being woken up by singing gibbons in the Thai Jungle OR doing a river safari in Borneo. Anyhoo; yay for the animal kingdom!

A musical high would have been seeing (part of) Sigur Ros at the Lowlands festival in 2010. Amazing, like being in a fairytale with 10000 others, grown men cried, it was that good.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well if you're looking to brush up on you high-school biology skills/knowledge, I'm your girl. I can also teach you some cool swingdance moves and some basic poi jugling. And I'll probably throw some music at you wether you like it or not. Please return that last "favour"!
