About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet people from around the world and teach them all to sing!

ABOUT ME

I am always singing, humming a tune, beat boxing or whistling.
Singing on stage though is where my heart lies:

If I take a break from those things it should only be for a good laugh and/or an interesting conversation.
I believe I am witty.. ha! and whether or not I am right I probably talk too much sometimes.
I am honest and I have a strong sense of fairness and a strong need to follow it.
I hope I will always stand up for the little guy.
I am sometimes lazy, sometimes awake at strange hours and I can talk about some heated topic for hours and hours.
My friends tell me that is not always a good thing :)

PHILOSOPHY

Before you critizise someone, first walk a mile in their shoes.
Then, when you critizise them, you are a mile away and you have their shoes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I´ve mostly hosted or met people in Reykjavík.
Recently i surfed for the first time and that was just wonderful.
I´m exited to surf more one day!

I live in Stockholm now and would be up for meeting up but cannot host atm.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to this, started my profile in late may 2012.
Had quite a few people over already and it's just been great.
Meeting all those homo-sapiens from around the world makes me happy. Some of them have been just like me, others have been totally different.
Both are great!

Interests

My biggest interest is music and always has been.

I am a graduated singer from a prominent music school here in Iceland, I am a trubador and in an A Capella quartet.
I also really enjoy hiking mountains and have done that quite a bit.

Dancing! Some days I just have to boogie with it.
Did ballroom dancing for 6 years and a few years of Jazz funk but any kind of dancing makes me happy.

Animals are also very dear to me and I have 2 cats, 4 years old. Before them I had one who lived to be 20.

I also have a big interest in meeting people from all over the world and I have friends in many places.
To speak to people from different places, with different views about life, is amazing. I haven't done as much traveling as I would have liked and so being able to meet people in my own country, and maybe help them out a little, is a very cool thing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2010 I hiked to see an erupting volcano here in Iceland. To feel the ground shaking as we got close, see the smoke rise up above the hills and then finally to see the lava spewing up completely filled me with awe.
Joining the Love parade in Germany, dancing with 2 million people.
Singing on stage with a big band (18 instruments) in front of a 500 person audience.
A northern lights explosion at the top of a mountain just outside of Reykjavik one starry winter night.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to walk on your hands, joggle and make strange sounds ( my favorite one I call "the dinosaur" but my friends insist that it's more of a "pissed off dolphin" or a "constipated bird" )
