Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To step outside of my comfort zone and explore the world, and to become a stronger, wiser person in doing so.
ABOUT ME
I enjoy things like reading, thinking, music, cool websites like CS.org, natural beauty and socializing.
i consider myself well rounded and easy to get along with. lately i have been trying to learn spanish.
I'm currently trying to learn to code, repair bikes, and play drums.
I love learning new things and being around nice, interesting people.
I have an ebay store, so my apartment is a bit cluttered - especially the guest room, which is also an inventory room.
PHILOSOPHY
“The things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone, but the things you do for others remain as your legacy.” - not my quote , but i like it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i want to participate by hosting CSers and maybe sleeping on some strangers' couches, as well as getting to know the strangers so they aren't strangers anymore.
i don't mind helping around the house or doing whatever else i can to match the generosity. i'm a journalism major so if you need something written or investigated, maybe i can help you. other than that, i'm fairly well rounded.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None. i messaged a few people when i was in seattle, but left before i got any responses and i think they all declined anyways :(
probably because i have no reviews and i wasn't verified.
i get the feeling CS is a popular place for gay guys to hook up - or maybe it's just really popular with single older guys who send me weird messages, so just putting it out there that i'm straight.
Interests
i like all the typical stuff - fishing, games of skill and creativity, good movies/tv, music, creative problem solving, reading, writing. working on my business, hiking, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
i went on a road trip last year and saw the amazing grand canyon, drove the 101 up the pacific coast, saw a rainbow coming out of the island at crater lake, was confounded by the magic of magnetic fields at the oregon vortex, saw a bit of yellowstone, ran into carrie brownstein in portland, hung out with professional thief junkies in pdx, cared for a dying old man, experienced a montana snow storm in my car, was near the shooting at the 2013 420 festival in denver, and many other things. hoping to have another road trip or maybe plane trip soon. the most powerful thing i've seen was probably the dark figure that pressed my chest when i had sleep paralysis. i know it wasn't real, but it still gives me goosebumps. oh and once i randomly felt oneness with everything when looking at the stars.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn to be more outgoing, well rounded, disciplined and wise, so it would be good if i met people who had these qualities.
i can teach how to sell stuff on ebay...how to find good deals in portland...how to pet my cat.
