About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My real current mission is to "finish" working on my 1898 home in Boston, Massachusetts, USA with the specific intent of getting ready to become a foster and/or adoptive single parent. Of course a 114 year old house is never finished. :-)

ABOUT ME

I am a loyal friend who will do anything to help a friend. I'm the kind of friend who replies, "You need help moving? Sure! When and where? Do you want use of my truck?"

THIS is where I've been...

visited 26 states (52%)Create your own visited map of The United States or Free ipad travel guide

The above DOES NOT include the many other states thru which I have simply driven on my way to one of the above states to have fun!

PHILOSOPHY

It's all about the kids! Encourage them to be open and accepting of those who are different than themselves. Soon the world will be a much better place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

New to this whole Couch Surfing concept. My first hosting may actually be my driveway/garage. For a CS'ers car that is.

I have yet to take my first trip utilizing CS.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Brand new to CouchSurfing. I just heard about it on our local Nation Public Radio (NPR) radio station. I've only been hosting less than a week and I'm currently hosting my 3rd guest with 4 more in the next two weeks. LOVE the concept and can't wait to do a bit of surfing myself!

Interests

Anything outdoors and anything to do with science and technology. I also enjoy learning about cultures from around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies — I enjoy almost all old Black & White movies from the 1930's – 1950's. Love comedies, Sci-Fi, thriller, action, etc.

Music — My musical tastes are definitely stuck in the '80's. Depeche Mode, Erasure, etc.

Books — Mainly Science Fiction and those with a physic bent to them. Julian May is probably one of my most favorite authors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well ... Ive never been good at following directions, so here are three things I've done:
୦ Jumped out of a perfectly good airplane from 14,000 feet.
୦ Spelunked deep in a few caves.
୦ White Water Rafted on several amazing rivers.

Teach, Learn, Share

୦ I love to teach, talk, and learn technology — that is my natural comfort zone.
୦ I also enjoy learning about other cultures, their traditions, values, foods, histories, etc.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Bahamas, Canada, France, Italy, Jamaica, Netherlands, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Vatican City State
