About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a girl who loves adventures and being outside. I am a current Peace Corps Response Volunteer serving in Panama. I really enjoy meeting new people, and seeing new places. In my free time, I love to hike, backpack, climb, read, go to concerts and have long conversations by a campfire.

PHILOSOPHY

Do it, do it right, do it right now. No actually that was my grandfathers moto. Mine would have to be centered around loving and appreciating people in the world through activities and conversation. I have just started traveling, and it has opened my eyes to many different ideas and I have already met many awesome people who have had totally different life experiences, and I am excited to meet more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies- I enjoy a good comedy such as movies with humor similar to Woody Allen. Oh and P.S. I love you is a good movie too. . .

Music- love it all. It really depends on my mood, but overall I really enjoy music that I can dance to, or hum to. Right now I am really into ska and indie bands. Just a few of my favorites - Blind Pilot, Coldplay, Michael Fronti, Fun., Johan Butler Trio, Jack Johnson, The Shins, Flight of the Concord, Vestusta Morla, Florence and the Machine, The Black Keys, Vampire Weekend, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Foster the People, Noah and the Whale, Devotchka, The Decembrists, Red Hot Chile Peppers, Mumford and Sons, plus millions more chill bands, as well as classical when I am in the right mood. I am always looking for new music!

Books- Both fiction or non-fiction. For fiction, I love a book that is somehow based in either history, or it is some sort of deeper metaphorical connection. Unless I am on a plane, then I like quick easy reads.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

New Zealand- bungy jumping (Queenstown)and skydiving (Franz Josef glacier)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am not sure what I can bring to the table. . . I guess excitement for learning . . I also love to cook/bake and would be more then happy to make a dish or share a dish with any courch-surfer or couch-surfing host. :D
