Born in Taipei, grew up in Taipei, but currently residing in my second home, Scotland, based in a charming historical town of St. Andrews for my Master study.

Madly in love with my girlfriend, Rina. We are both madly in love with our cat, Simba.

I am passionate about music, food, cinema, travel and learning about other cultures. I speak Taiwanese, Mandarin, fluent English (I hope!) and strange phrases I've remembered from a handful of other languages.

I value and respect life, different cultures, people who make their life as they want it to be. Enjoy sports(especially football) and healthy things. Love to be in company, but appreciate silence as well.

My travels have taken me around quite a bit of Asia and Europe, and now I am keen to set my sights further afield, and also closer to home (it would be nice to see more of Taiwan!).

-Gay marriage
We are one of the biggest gay pride in Asia. A law that would officially allow gay marriage is on tracks. We will probably be the first Asian country to legalize it.

-FaPiao
The government developed an interesting and mostly digitized lottery system : every single purchase, even at the convenient store, provides an opportunity to earn some money at the lottery. We collect all their tickets — called “FaPiao” — and every 2 months we scan the QR code’s tickets to see if we gain.

-Free wifi
Taipei City has more than 9000 free public hotspots. The 3G and 4G networks work everywhere, including in the MRT (subway).

-275 peaks over 3,000 meters
Taiwan is a paradise for hikers. We have one of the largest density of high mountains in the world (275 peaks over 3,000 meters). You can easily find trails, even from Taipei.

I would also like to teach you basic but important traditional Chinese (like how to impress a Taiwanese women/men. I did that with some international students from my college and they ended up having a good time!
