ABOUT ME

We are a couple from Barcelona who spent the last 4 years living in London. We are currently traveling around the world in a year trip, visiting Asia and South America. We are easy going, open minded and curious about other cultures.

Interests

We like rock climbing and we are trying to rock climb in as many places as possible around the world during our trip. We enjoy nature and when we are not climbing we like going out trekking, traveling by train (we absolutely love trains... don't know why), playing saxophone or the ocarina that serves as a poor substitute during the trip (Lluis), reading or watching series (HBO is best!). We also love cooking and enjoy trying new kinds of food (although we are not brave enough to try tarantulas and stuff like that that we have seen traveling!).

Music, Movies, and Books

Muriel-
Movies: I like going to the cinema and enjoy different genres, just not the stupid kind of films (unlike Lluis, who loves Police Academy and stuff like that!)
Music: I enjoy music in general and I love dancing. I like Debussy and Satie, Belle & Sebastian, Depeche Mode, Saint Germain, Manu Chao, The Cure, techno, and so much more...
Books: I love Coetzee, Sandor Marai, Stefan Sweig, Vargas Llosa, Vila-Matas, Javier Marias... I basically read novels.

Lluis-
Movies: pretty much anything, from Police Academy to Usual suspects.
Music: basically jazz (all of it, with some preference for hardbop), but I like classical, rock, dub, techno or hardcore.
Books: my favorite writer is Thomas Pynchon, by far!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rock climbing in the lost village of Getu (in China) is definitely one of the craziest and most surreal things we've ever done. Myanmar and its people are one of the highlights of our trip. Probably the best idea we've had in our lives was to go and live in London for a few years, which really opened our minds.

Teach, Learn, Share

We have been on the road for a while and we miss having a kitchen. So we can teach you how to cook some famous Spanish dishes such as paella, Spanish tortilla, "pa amb tomaquet" (bread with tomato), etc.

If you would like to try rock climbing and there is a crag close to your city, we would be happy to take you with us.
