About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Immersing myself in new environments, and being exposed to different cultures. Learn something new everyday.

ABOUT ME

I am a free spirit who would go all the way for what I want, so that I dont have to wonder "What if..." later on. Being a problem solver with a curious mind, I seek to get out of my comfort zone and be in stimulating environments, thus I travel a lot to have my brain stimulated and always active. I see the good side of people and love being with people. I may appear quiet because I always have so many (usually conflicting) ideas and thoughts that I need time to organise them. I need time to think of an appropriate response or reply, but I take actions on the spot because, to me, hesitation is usually the cause of an opportunity lost. I'm known to be very random and spontaneous. I love to gain new experiences so I always try new things (from food to experience).

PHILOSOPHY

To leave the world a bit better, to know even one life has breathed easier because you have live... This is to have succeeded.
The purpose of life is not to be happy - but to matter, to have it make some difference that you have lived at all.
Our fingerprints don't fade from the lives we touch.
We all have the power to change the future.

Sometimes you have to go halfway around the world to come full circle.

Regrets are really useless because there is nothing you can do to change the past. There is no point in regrets, you address it and you learn from it and you have to move on - you have to - otherwise, you stall, you stop, your heart becomes bitter, your soul becomes cold and you become angry and resentful.

You have to play the cards you are dealt. To just sit back and say, "I won't play the game", is disastrous. The decision to live, the decision to say, "I'm here", is what relieves you. Otherwise you are only half alive.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm living at home with my family and we don't have a couch, so unfortunately I cannot host at the moment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had 6 hosts during my 3-week travel around the US, and they are all nice and kind in different ways. They each have also changed me in some way.

Interests

Music, nature (I like mountains and all bodies of water), dancing, martial arts (aikido), hiking/exploring, and of course, FOOD! (I love trying different cuisines, and honestly I am a slave for food!)
