ABOUT ME

I'm one silly sassamaroo from the Pacific Northwest in Washington. I love camping, hiking, dancing, singing to the moon, hula hooping, hugging strangers, floating down rivers, eating salt and vinegar chips and giggling when it's most inappropriate.

Edmond can't resist a good garage sale and collecting strange junk. He's a writer and music magician. Ask him anything about free jazz or funk and you're set for a night of banter.

I've been teaching English in Korea for 4 years now and Edmond for 2. On March 1, we will set out to begin our travel through SE Asia and into Europe before returning to our home in the states.

We're two optimistic, happy people about to move into a really wonderful position in life of constantly moving for the next 9 months.

We can no longer host since we are currently traveling BUT we will be setting up a place in Eugene, Oregon, USA in the next few months and would love to host you then! Check back in a few months if you're planning a trip to the West Coast of the US :)

I have been hosting friends in and around Korea since 2012. I've had a wide range of people sleeping at casa de Kali from all over. Now Edmond and I have been hosting people in our lovely little home for a year.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

So one night we were sleeping in a beautiful treehouse in Thailand. We were jonezing for some fried spring rolls but knew it was going to take a bit of an effort to procure said rolls.

With nothing but our bare feet to guide us through the night. We took to the jungle and hiked into town. On our way back to the woodwork from which we came, we stumbled across a man with long flowing dred locks, a red bandanna tied across his sun kissed forehead and eyeliner smeared onto his lids. Could it be Captain Jack Sparrow? the man himself?!

Alas, this man was not a pirate from the Caribbean but rather a Thai man with an eye for cut off pants, and a stylish hair accessory.

We spent the rest of the night nomming on spring rolls and dancing under the biggest blanket of stars I've ever seen in my entire life. The full moon shone on our path into the darkness and we made our way back to our mosquito net covered beds.
