About Me

"Like all great travelers, I have seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen."

I have a minimalist lifestyle and a traveler soul.
Over the years I have moved... a lot... so I have learnt that sometimes less is more, especially if you have to pack everything own and end up trying to board the plane wearing the massive layers of clothing that did not fit in the luggage :P

I like having deep conversations about almost anything from world history and politics to the unintended consequences of emerging technologies.
I wish to learn a bit about video editing and some point start making short movies...

Whilst trying to make the most of time on Earth I like to plan for change and change the plan.
This year I started working remotely, I am preparing to hit the road soon and try the whole digital nomad thing...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I love meeting new people and help travelers achieve their goals
I am a daydreamer, storyteller, adventure seeker and perspective collector...
I think every person like an universe (full of ideas, aspirations, fears, memories, talents) and when I travel I try to not only explore the place but also those universes, thus I end up living the place but also getting a sneak pick of how the city feels for the people I meet. Couchsurfing gives me access to a whole community of 'universes' eager to share and live new experiences.

Interests

Startups and Technology

Travelling. To me it's a passion that has made me a better person as it opened for me a window towards intercultural learning that profoundly changed the way I see the world, humanity and different cultures, and also what I plan to do with my life.

Photography. I love taking pictures they are in fact much more than just an image. It's a story: a story of me and a story of what I picture. Photography builds a physical representation of my memories, it boosts my creativity, it teaches me to be patient, to pay special attention to the details and to appreciate the inspirational power of the little or the simple, it helps me visualizing my own imagination and capturing moments which reflect the way perceive the world thus allowing me to taste life twice. Ever since my camera found me it has become my vision, my time machine, my expression, my creation, my art, my liberation, my magic.

The ocean. I always say it has been my second home and my first love.
There is so many things you can do in the beach, hang out with friends, stare at the horizon, play volleyball or frisbee, build sandcastles, stand against the waves, get suntanned, walk on the beach, look for seashells, write or draw something in the sand, get a massage, have a bonfire party, fishing. You can never be bored.

Scuba diving. It's a whole new different world under the surface of the sea. It's silent, mysterious and beautiful.

Extreme sports like trekking, scrambling, rapelling, tyrolean crossing, canyoning, rafting, kitesurf and snowboard.

Ice Cream. It's like eating and drinking at the same time. They come in a large variety of flavours and colors. Plus they are sweet and creamy.

Movies. I think deep down they all have a message beyond the script. I personally prefer those that stir emotions making me get into them, then I laugh, gasp, get scared, jump in my seat, tear up at emotional scenes, and get excited at plot advancements.

Books. I really enjoy reading a good book. it's entertaining, relaxing and enlightening. Books unleash my imagination.

Paintball. This sport requires agility, tactic thinking and teamwork. It lower my stress levels and it's so much fun.

Motorcycle Riding. In my view they represent freedom and you can feel the speed in a more direct way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Having my mother as a designer who worked in a museum in my early childhood, made feel like my kindergarten was actually a museum, so I grew up surrounded by an artistic environment that strongly influenced my way of seeing the world.

Once while diving near La tortuga island I got surrounded by a large group of stingrays it was one of the most spectacular moments I've experienced They look so magnificent it almost seemed like they were flying.

The year I spent abroad as an exchange student was full of wonderful anecdotes. One in particular I'd like to recall, was the occasion I had in Monte Carlo to sit behind the wheel of an Enzo Ferrari and start the engine. Even though I obviously couldn't drive it, just with the sound of it made me feel the adrenaline flowing through my body. It was amazing!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you my city. I've explored it myself lots of times and now I know many of its attractions and some of its secrets.
And I can help you discover a new face of your city. When showing the city to different people it feels different every time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a sort of story collector. Throughout my travels I've compiled a lot of anecdotes from other travelers and from my own experiences that I'm sure will make anybody entertained and wanting to hit the road.
I can cook... food always tastes better when shared and I can teach you my fusion kitchen style if you want it.
I can give you Language lessons. I can share the nice photos I've taken.
