CURRENT MISSION

I have a mission to meet as many great people as possible. I love people of all different interests and passions. The thing I love about travellers, especially the sort who bother going off the main tourist route, is that they're generally passionate.

ABOUT ME

I think my Dad's habit of grabbing travellers from their camp sites and making them pack up and come stay at our house, has rubbed off on me. I just love having new people around, crazy about food, cooking and eating. As a family we like to camp, bush walk and generally hang around outdoors.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in doing good and helping people. I'm here to have a fun life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment we are just hosting travellers in our home in Bendigo. When we get time away we normally are desperate to just be together alone with our family and will tend to camp or stay in hotels. I'm not sure surfing with a family of four will really work. But maybe I'm wrong. I'm thinking house swapping might be our new thing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosting informal couch surfers for all my life just by meeting people and inviting them to stay. It's been fun joining an actual network and am currently in the middle of a great experience with Michel and Julie from Belgium who I've even brought down to stay with me at friends in Melbourne. If people send me emails on the weekend I often don't see them til Monday and have missed out on the opportunity of hosting a few people because of that. Must change my phone notifications. Bendigo's couch surfing community is a very keen one.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ephesus in Turkey, driving through Swiss Alps and my fave day was opshopping with my kids and eating Lebanese food in Melbourne!
